My approach
Therapy, for me, is a collaborative process. The relationship we build together is at the heart of the work, we’ll pay attention not only to what’s happening in your life, but also to what unfolds between us in the room. Often, these patterns can reveal deeper dynamics that influence how you relate to yourself and others.
My practice draws primarily from Gestalt therapy, while remaining flexible and integrative. I work in a process-oriented way, focusing on how you move through the world rather than only on specific challenges. Over time, this approach helps reveal what supports you, what keeps you stuck, and what possibilities can emerge when there’s room for new awareness.
I often invite attention to the body and senses, when it feels right for you. Before training as a therapist, I worked in the arts, and that background continues to shape my way of being in the room, with creativity, openness, and a willingness to explore.
When we work together, we’ll integrate core Gestalt principles in ways that feel grounded and useful for you.
What you can expect
An authentic therapeutic relationship – honest, supportive, and led by your pace.
Attention to the present moment – what’s happening for you right now, not just the story around it.
Curiosity about patterns – how you respond, relate, and protect yourself, and how these patterns can shift.
A body-aware approach – gentle exploration of what your body might be holding or expressing.
Creative exploration – space to try new ways of seeing or experiencing, without pressure.
Practical insight – clarity about what helps you grow and what gets in the way.
How I work
Process Focussed
I pay attention to how things are happening in the here-and-now, not just what's being said. We explore patterns, body sensations, and what emerges in the moment between us, trusting that the process itself holds potential for change and growth.
Intersectional Awareness
Our identities don't exist in isolation—they interact and shape our experience of the world. I'm committed to naming power and privilege in both wider systems and our therapeutic relationship, recognising how oppression impacts mental health and shows up between us.
Trauma Informed
I understand how trauma lives in the body and nervous system, not just the mind. Through ongoing CPD and extensive experience working with marginalized communities, I bring a commitment to working at your pace with attention to safety, choice, and what helps you feel grounded.
Creative & Experimental
Therapy isn't just about stories or what happened to us. We use creative experiments, graded to where you're at, to interrupt patterns and fixed ways of being, bringing us back to how that impacts you and exploring new possibilities as they emerge.
Supporting Diverse Communities
LGBTQI+ communities
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my work. I understand the nuances of coming out journeys, navigating family acceptance, relationship dynamics, gender exploration, minority stress, and finding authentic self-expression. I provide an actively affirming space where all identities are celebrated, not just understood.
People seeking asylum and refugees
I am experienced in supporting people with refugee and asylum-seeking experiences as we navigate trauma, displacement, loss, and the impacts of hostile environment policies. I approach this work with cultural sensitivity and understanding of the compounded stresses of rebuilding lives while facing systemic barriers and uncertain immigration processes.
Creative professionals
I have a lived understanding of both the joys and uncertainties of creative work. I'm experienced in supporting artists, writers, performers, and other creative professionals navigating the precarious nature of portfolio careers, creative blocks, financial instability, and the vulnerability inherent in sharing creative work.
Young people
I am experienced in supporting young people through adolescence and early adulthood, including identity formation, educational pressures, relationship difficulties, family conflict, and mental health concerns. I have particular experience with young people navigating transitions, those facing economic barriers, and young creatives in creative industries.
